Skales might just be ready to stand up to Wizkid in equal measures. Skales Baseline Music act, Skales has just fired shots at his former label mate and current boss of Starboy Records, Wizkid.

In a series of tweets, Skales claims Wizkid stole his beat to make his hit song, 'Azonto' while adding that he wrote another of Wizkid's songs,
'Superstar'.

In a move that is surprising considering how the two former label mates grew together under the Empire Mates Entertainment imprint before they
both left the label, the beef will come as not totally unexpected for industry watchers.

First to leave the label is Skales, who went on to sign for Baseline Music in a deal worth millions while Wizkid, upon leaving EME, set up his own label, Starboy Records.

Although the real cause of the emanating bad blood is yet unclear, it is an open secret in the music industry that Skales, who allegedly played second fiddle to Wizkid back when they were together at EME, is of the view the 'Ojuelegba' singer is not happy with his success since pitching his tent elsewhere.
