The B.A Hons in English holder who formerly wprks with an aluminium company where she works as a marketer before she her current job professionally which is the traditional MC(alaga iduro/ioko) asserts that her love for music and meeting people couple with being social made her go into the profession.
When asked in an interview with Lagos Network reporter if talent is all that made her who she is in her field of choice or if she ever went through an informal training, portable as she's fondly referred to by colleague said that talent can never be enough in anything we doing, no matter how talented one is; there must be a kind of training in order to be equipped with the rules and regulations guiding the profession.
Candy B is greatly influenced by the waka queen, Queen salawa abeni because of her versatility in the world of music especially fuji music, she further explain that her love for salawa is borne out of the fact nobody especially among women of today that listen to good music will stand still whenever salawa music is being played without dancing.
However, she pointed out that her greatest challenge so far in her career was when she was invited some years ago to perform at festac as alaga iduro (groom's MC) the other person who was the alaga ijoko (bride's MC) have sang every song she planned to sing which put her in dilemma thinking of what to do next. She further explained that immediately she collected d microphone and praised God new songs started coming in and singing same songs in a new way which made people stood and dance to her performance.
Lastly, candy B gave advice to upcoming ones to be more focus and determined because at d end of every tunnel,green light is certain.
