A chieftain in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a prominent Ijaw Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, declared those fighting President Goodluck Jonathan because of 2015 are actually fighting God, who, he says, made it possible for him to become President.

Chief Clark gave this warning at his residence in Abuja during the meeting with the Federal Capital Territory chapter of South-South community leaders, chiefs and elders saying that anyone planning to split the country would fail.
“Constitution permitted Jonathan to run for the Presidency twice, as a lawyer, who had practised for 50 years, I always laughed when educated people say Jonathan could not run for the office on the basis that he had been sworn-in twice”, he said.
He further noted that former President Olusegun Obasanjo imposed former President Umaru Yar’Adua on Nigeria.
According to him since Obafemi Awolowo and Adekunle Ajasin died, the Yoruba have had no leaders, adding that former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu was wasting his time, moving about, calling himself the Yoruba leader, saying “money cannot buy leadership.”
