Photo: Baby born on the street by destitude woman is doing great

This is the baby that was born on the streets of Ketu by a homeless mentally unstable woman on Thursday January 16th. Photo taken today Saturday January 18th at Oba's Prolific Clinic and Maternity where mother and child are being well taken care.
The woman has refused to give her child up for adoption. She rejected offers by some people to take her child to the orphanage or give the baby to social welfare. She says she wants to take care of the baby herself, that she has a mother and other family members in Ondo who can help her take care of the baby. She also revealed she has other children who live with her mother in Ode Irele in Ondo.

Quite a lot of people have been visiting the woman and her baby to show love and support and give whatever they can afford. Meanwhile, the hospital is working with agencies from the Lagos state government to help rehabilitate the woman and re-unite her and her baby with her family.
